In June 2020, NHS England facilitated a consultation to learn more about patients experience of telemedicine clinics, 3 AS patients contributed to the telephone consultation and as you can see from the results there were pros and cons expressed by clinicians, patients and patient led organisations including ASUK.

These discussions looked closely at what has been working well and what hasn’t worked so well and ways we can ensure the future support and clinical services offered can run as smoothly as possible for everyone involved.
The initial discussions have proved fruitful with home monitoring equipment being ordered for families to monitor their health from home. These are hopefully be being distributed to families over the next few months.
