We all use information to support us in making decisions about our health, healthcare and social care.
Quality information empowers people to make choices that are right for them. The Information Standard scheme is designed to improve trust in the literature which is produced by certifying reliable producers of health and social care information.
What is the scheme?
The Information Standard is a certification scheme for health and social care information producers. ASUK has been judged to meet the criteria of The Information Standard and can now use the quality mark on information materials so people searching for health and social care information about Alström Syndrome can easily identify it as coming from a reliable, trustworthy source.
The ASUK processes for developing information have been assessed and evaluated to make sure our information is consistent with latest clinical evidence and ensuring we involve families, patients and professionals in producing our information.
